Ascent Performance Consultants is dedicated to meeting the mental health needs of the troops and families affected by the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. We provide counseling to individuals, couples and families, and children and adolescents. We offer treatment for the following conditions:
- anxiety and panic disorders
- depression
- substance abuse
- post-traumatic stress disorder
- family and domestic violence
- sexual health and intimacy concerns
- loss and grieving
In addition to direct counseling services, our providers are working to reduce the stigma associated with mental health by participating in and leading education, training, and outreach efforts in schools and communities and around military bases.
To date, 2 million people have deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. More than 5,800 have died and over 41,000 have been injured. The psychological and emotional impact of war on service members and their loved ones is tremendous. There is an emerging mental health crisis.
