Family Violence Intervention Program for Men Who Batter Women
Court Approved and Court Mandated FVIP
Domestic violence is not a mental health problem. Fifty percent of all men in relationships are violent or threaten violence at one time or another. Boys grow up learning to devalue and dominate women and continue this as adults. Violence toward women is a social problem.
Men, domestic violence impacts everyone in your family — you, your partner, and your children. Take a step today to keep your family safe and sound.
Men meet weekly in small-group settings. There are a variety of times to fit your schedule. Our program provides a safe place for you to make the changes you want in your life.
This 24 week program is about learning new ways that men can relate to their partners. Violence is an extreme form of controlling behavior. Not allowing her to do what she wants is another. Intimidation, psychological and verbal abuse, though less extreme, are still controlling and oppressing. We know these are sometimes difficult to stop. There is no quick fix. Join other men learning to have healthy relationships.

Women Who Resort To Violence
Program coming in March 2012.
Co-Custody ParentingA 10-session group program to promote cooperation, understanding and a reduction of anger and conflict in joint custody and co-parenting situations. Teaching parents to appropriately and effectively deal with Parental Alienation Syndrome where one parent talks negatively about the other parent to the child and prevents contact with the child. Participants are taught techniques for having positive interactions with the co-parent for the benefit of their children.
Supervised Visitations
Supervised visitations take place between a parent and a child (or children) at a neutral and jointly approved location. Visitations are closely monitored by professionals who may intervene when necessary to ensure appropriate parent/child interactions and child safety.
Anger ManagementThe Anger Management programs consists of 12-sessions where individuals learn to effectively manage their anger while dealing with feelings of stress and rage. Classes focus on identifying the triggers for anger and provide tools for enhancing communication, self-awareness and stress management to help prevent future violent outbursts. THIS IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE 24 WEEK FVIP PROGRAM.!
